Creating work queues

Work queues hold work items that can be completed by more than one user or can be completed by an automated process.

Queues are data structures that are used to manage and organize work items that are waiting to be processed. Workflow queues can hold work items for multiple users or automated processes. Creating workflow rosters serves as an efficient method for locating specific workflows within an isolated region.

Procedure

To create a work queue:

  1. Start the New Work Queue wizard in the administration console:
    1. In the domain navigation pane, select the object store.
    2. In the object store navigation pane, click theAdministrative > Workflow System > Isolated Regions folder and click the isolated region that you want to modify.
    3. Right-click the Work Queues folder and click New Work Queue.
  2. Complete the wizard.
