A component queue uses a custom component, such as a Java
component, to process a workflow step. The custom component is called
an adapter.
Procedure
To create a component queue:
- In the navigation pane of Process Configuration Console,
open the isolated region.
- Right-click Component Queues and
click New.
- In the Add Component Queue Wizard window, do the following
actions:
- In the Queue Name field, enter
a name for the queue.
This name is used in the list of
component queues in Process Designer.
- Optional: In the Description field,
enter a brief description of the queue.
- Click Next.
- In the Adapter list, select the
appropriate adapter and configure it as indicated by the following
table:
- Specify the adapter properties. See Adapter properties.
- Specify the JAAS credentials. See JAAS credentials.
- Click Finish.
- To complete the configuration, define the operations for
the component queue.
Tip: On the Component
Properties window, you can specify exposed fields,
indexes, and security for this component, as well as change the adapter
and operation properties.
- Click Commit to apply these changes
to your isolated region.
You can commit the changes
immediately, or you can wait until you finish all your changes.
