Directory service performance

There are certain things you can do to improve the performance of a Content Cortex-initiated search of the directory service for users and groups.

Configuring sorting for Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition
You can configure your Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition or your Sun Java System Directory Server to better support Content Cortex, especially in the area of sorting.
Configuring sorting for Novell eDirectory
For best sorting performance, create an index for each user and group short name and display name attribute. For example, add an index for cn and choose rule: substring.
