Properties of system steps

A system step runs the system functions defined for that step. The Properties pane displays the following property information for the selected system step.

Remember: The step icon represents a system step that can be used for one or more of the system functions. The workflow author might also add steps representing individual system functions. In this case, each step displays a different step icon.

Property	Description
Name	The name of the step. To display the properties of a different step, select it from the list. A symbol indicates steps that are in progress.
Description	Information about the step provided by the author of the workflow.

Use the tabs in the center of the Properties pane to view and edit specific areas.

Remember: For Web Services steps (Invoke, Receive, and Reply), see the section on Web Service step properties, because these steps have additional properties.

In the tab...	you can...
General	Display the names of the functions defined for this step. Click a name to display the properties of that function.
Routing	Display the incoming and outgoing routing and conditions for the current step. You cannot modify this information.
Rules	Display the type of execution of any rule sets (Before Execution or After Completion), and the names of the rule sets.
