About this task
The name of the workflow must be unique in the isolated
region. When you are naming a new workflow definition, you should
check the name against the names of existing workflow definitions
that have been transferred to the workflow database.
To check the workflow name
Procedure
- If Workflow Properties is not open, click the Action menu, then select Workflow Properties.
- On the General tab, enter
a name for the workflow.
The name of a workflow
definition must conform to the following rules:
- Begin with an alphabetic character. Can contain letters, digits,
underscores, or spaces.
- Maximum length 249 characters.
- Not use F_ or two tilde (~~) characters as the first two characters.
- Be unique among workflow definitions in an isolated region.
- Click the Check Workflow Name icon
on the upper-right side of the Workflow Name title bar.
- In Check Workflow Name, select whether to use the current
name or enter a different name.
- If the name you entered is available, choose Use this workflow
name.
- If the name you entered is already in use, do one of the following:
- Choose Use this workflow name to
overwrite the existing workflow definition when you transfer the new
workflow definition to the workflow database.
- Choose Use another workflow name,
then enter or select the name to use.
