Agentic content management Content Cortex is the next-generation agentic content management architecture that combines enterprise content services with AI capabilities. The architecture provides repository services for capturing, managing, and storing business-related digital assets in multiple repositories (called object stores). It also provides content services that support AI integration through standardized protocols, enabling intelligent content operations while maintaining enterprise-grade security and governance.Intelligent archiving Content Cortex provides intelligent archiving capabilities for static content from archival repositories, enabling users to search, view, and manage archived documents alongside other enterprise content.AI capabilities Content Cortex provides AI capabilities for conversational content management, standardized AI integration, and intelligent reasoning. IBM® Content Assistant is available as an add-on product that provides additional document insight capabilities.Business insights Business Automation Insights transforms content operations data into actionable insights that help you make informed decisions, optimize processes, and improve business outcomes. You can monitor content management performance in near real-time and identify opportunities for improvement.Application environment Content Cortex platform includes an application environment to provide users with enterprise content management (ECM) functionality. IBM Content Navigator is a web client that provides users with a console for working with content from multiple content servers, including content that is stored on Content Platform Engine object stores.Application integration Content Cortex tools help you integrate with various vendor applications.Records management IBM Enterprise Records is a records management solution that can help companies manage risk through effective, enforceable records management policy, for achievable and cost-effective compliance. IBM Enterprise Records is fully integrated with the Content Cortex platform.System management Content Cortex provides a complete set of system administration tools that allow for monitoring, validation, and configuration changes from a central location with a dispersed deployment. These tools, described in the following sections, can be used to manage the entire system.Enterprise capabilities Content Cortex components provide the enterprise-level capabilities that are required for solving critical business requirements. This section enumerates these product characteristics.Workflow management Content Cortex lets you create, modify, manage, and analyze business processes or workflows, that are performed by applications, enterprise users, and external users such as partners and customers.Integration with external content repositories IBM Content Cortex Content Federation Services enables you to integrate data in an external repository with Content Cortex and access the documents as though they are stored in an object store. An external repository acts like a virtual storage area for the Content Platform Engine system.
