In-baskets

In-baskets are used to filter work items in a queue. Only items that are appropriate for a specific role are displayed.

When you create an in-basket, you are defining a template that specific users, who are assigned a role, use to process work items. You do the following tasks when you create an in-basket:
  • Specify the fields that are displayed in the in-basket that you are creating.
  • Determine the filters that users can use to view only certain work items in the in-basket.
  • Specify the content that is displayed in the in-basket each time a user runs a query.

An application space organizes the resources for a custom application that uses a workflow. You define roles for users, such as a Clerk or Approver, in an application space. The roles determine who processes the various activities in the application and the appropriate access that they have to specific in-baskets. You must create the in-baskets first before you can assign in-baskets to specific roles in an application space.
