Viewing the hold status of an object

A hold is a means of preventing deletion of an object. You can determine if a document is on hold by viewing the hold property for that object.

About this task

A hold typically includes multiple held objects and an object might be subject to multiple holds. This many-to-many relationship is expressed in terms of a hold relationship. The hold relationship contains the property Hold, referring to the Hold object, and the property HeldObject, referring to the held object.

Procedure

To view the holds associated with an object:

Access the object properties in the administration console:
  1. In the domain navigation pane, select the object store.
  2. In the object store navigation pane, select the object.
  3. Click the Properties tab and scroll to the Hold Relationships property.
