About managing workflows
You can use Process Administrator to manage the processing of workflows and work items in these ways:
- Assign or reassign work to a user
- Change workflow attributes, such as data field values and workflow group members
- Complete work and send it on to the next step
- Terminate work and send it to the termination step
- Delete work, one or more work items or an entire workflow
- Unlock work based on the current user or queue
- Change a user's Out of Office settings
Search mode
You must set the search mode to Edit to modify work. If your search mode is Read only, change the search mode to Edit and re-execute your search. Your access rights can affect how Process Administrator displays and manages work. The read-only and edit modes might display different results. See Security issues for Process Administrator functionally for more information.
Locking work items
Process Administrator must lock the affected work items before you can perform any of the above actions. If you are viewing workflows, Process Administrator must lock all of the work items associated with the workflow.
