Identifying document-related failures

Find objects with document-related indexing failures by querying on the Indexing Failure Code property.

Before you begin

Configure the object store to propagate failure codes to objects. For information about propagating failure codes, see Propagating document-related failures to objects.

Procedure

To identify objects with indexing failures:

  1. Constructing a query with a SQL statement. Use a query that is similar to the following example to find objects with one or more indexing failure codes: 
    	SELECT d.This, d.CmIndexingFailureCode
	FROM Document d
	WHERE d.CmIndexingFailureCode > 0
    This example queries for objects that are instances of the Document class or any of its subclasses. The correct table to query depends on the class of objects that you are searching for.
    Tip: By default, no database index exists for the CmIndexingFailureCode property. For faster queries, create an index for the property. For more information, see Creating database indexes for class properties.
  2. View the CmIndexingFailureCode property values to determine the type of indexing failure for the object.
