Configuring the audit subsystem task

The audit subsystem controls the pruning of audit events from the audit log. You can specify a schedule and configure parameters that control how the audit pruning process is run. The schedule specifies one or more time periods that determine when the audit subsystem task starts and how long it runs.

Before you begin

Do not enable the audit subsystem task until after your audit processing applications (if any) begin operation. In the absence of any application-created bookmarks, the subsystem task might delete audit events prematurely.

To configure the audit disposition subsystem task:

1. In the administration console, click the domain.
2. On the Audit Subsystem tab, enter or change field values as appropriate.
