Getting started
You use the web-based Administration Console for Content Platform Engine to administer the Content Cortex
domains, sites, object stores, and other objects in your system.
Starting the administration console
You start the administration console from a web browser.
Changing the language and locale settings on the administration console
By default, the administration console uses the language that is set in your web browser settings. You can override the default behavior by changing the language of the administration console. This setting changes the language of the text in the administration console but does not change the language of the documents in the application.
Updating the base documentation URL for the Content Cortex domain
When you create a Content Cortex domain, you must specify the base URL for the Content Cortex documentation. The base URL identifies the base web address for the Content Cortex documentation website and tells the various Content Cortex applications where to start looking for the context-sensitive help topic. If you later change the URL to the documentation, you must update the base documentation URL for each Content Cortex domain.
Resetting message confirmation prompts
You can receive a number of message prompts when you use the administration console. Some of these messages give you the option: Do not display this message again . If you select this option, you can later reset it by accessing the privacy settings for your browser.
Limiting administrative access
You can control access to Administration Console for Content Platform Engine . Or, you can allow users and groups to log on freely, and set access permissions for individual domains and object stores.
Configuring designer group access
You can configure access to specific areas in Administration Console for Content Platform Engine by designating Class Designer and Application Designer groups through your directory server and in the console configuration.
Downloading API components
You can use the administration console to download API components. You can use these API components to build version-compatibility checks and automatic updates into client applications that use the Content Engine Java™ API or Process Engine Java API.
