Defining the workflow system
A workflow system is a collection of isolated regions. An isolated region contains the queues, rosters, and event logs that are necessary to create and process workflows. A workflow system uses the same database connection and schema as the object store with which it is associated. An object store can contain only one workflow system.

Tip: If you upgraded from a previous release, you might have workflow
systems that are considered legacy workflow systems. Legacy workflow systems have the following characteristics:
- A legacy workflow system is not associated with an object store.
- A legacy workflow system cannot be used as the foundation for an IBM®® Case Manager system.
- You cannot create a legacy workflow system.
