Configuring SMTP for the Content Cortex domain

You can configure SMTP configuration values for the server . You can also configure SMTP configuration values for workflow email notification.

About this task

If SMTP values are defined for a workflow system in the domain, those values take precedence over SMTP values that are defined at a server level. For information about configuring SMTP for a workflow system, see Enabling email notification for workflow activity.

Procedure

To configure SMTP:

  1. Access the SMTP subsystem properties in the administration console:
    1. In the domain navigation pane, select the server hierarchy object. For example, if you want to access the subsystem properties at the site level, expand the Sites folder and select a site.
    2. In the detail pane, click the SMTP Subsystem tab.
  2. Enter or change values as needed.
