Create a dimension

Procedure

To create a dimension:

  1. Open IBM® Cognos® Real-time Monitoring Workbench and select the IBM Content Cortex Case Monitor\Common folder.
  2. Click Activities and click Create New > Dimension.
  3. Enter the name and description of the new dimension.
    Tip: For clarity, use the name of the Case Analyzer dimension in the dimension name. For example, for a Case Analyzer dimension named Location, name the dimension Location_Dimension.
  4. Click Browse to choose the lookup table that contains the dimension elements.
  5. In the Hierarchy Information section:
    • Select the fields for the hierarchy. Do not select key fields (where the name ends with "_key") in this section.
    • For the key fields, select the Key Field box next to the fields you selected for the hierarchy.
  6. Click Save dimension.
