IBM Spectrum Protect fixed content device
An IBM Content Cortex fixed storage area can use the IBM Spectrum Protect as the fixed content device for storing object content files. The content can belong to documents from different object stores. In addition, the object stores can belong to different Content Cortex domains.
Object content elements are stored as separate named objects on the IBM Spectrum Protect server. Retention is applied to the named objects based on the IBM Spectrum Protect management class that is associated with the fixed storage area.

Along with the rebranding of Tivoli Storage Manager, System Storage Archive Manager (SSAM) has been renamed to IBM Spectrum Protect for Data Retention.
