You can update a text indexing preprocessor definition display name, enable or disable the definition, or assign a different text indexing preprocessor action.
Procedure
To update a text indexing preprocessor definition:

In the administration console, double-click the class with the text indexing preprocessor definition that you want to update.

Select the Text Preprocessor Definitions tab.

Clear the Show Inherited check box to list the text indexing preprocessor definitions that you can update.
You must update a text indexing preprocessor definition from the class where it was originally defined.

In the text indexing preprocessor definition list, select the definition that you want to update.

Do one or more of the following:
- Change, add, or delete the display name. The text indexing preprocessor display name is optional, so the field might be empty.
- Select the Status check box to enable the text indexing preprocessor definition. Clear the check box to disable it.
- Select a different action from the text indexing preprocessor action list. If you want to create an action, see Creating a text indexing preprocessor action.

Click OK to save your changes.
- Optional:
Update additional text indexing preprocessor definitions, add new definitions, or remove existing ones.
When you are finished and the text indexing preprocessor definition list reflects all of your changes, click OK to save the class.
Results
The text indexing preprocessor definition is updated. The changes take effect for documents with content-based retrieval (CBR) enabled that enter the indexing queue after the update.
