Creating a text indexing preprocessor definition
Text indexing preprocessor definitions are associated with a document class. You can set one or more text indexing preprocessor definitions per class.
Procedure
To create a text indexing preprocessor definition:
- In the administration console, navigate to the document class where you want to add the text indexing preprocessor definition.
- Double-click the class and click the Text Indexing Preprocessor Definitions tab.
- Optional: Select Show Inherited to display text indexing preprocessor definitions inherited from parent classes.
- Click New.
- Optional:
Enter a name in the Display Name field.
If you have multiple definitions assigned to the class, assigning a name helps you identify the definitions.
-
Select the Status check box to enable the text indexing preprocessor definition.
Clear the check box to disable it.
-
Select an action from the Action list.
If you want to create a new text indexing preprocessor action, see Creating a text indexing preprocessor action.
- Click OK to save the definition.
- Optional:
Add another text indexing preprocessor definition, update a definition, or remove an existing definition.
When you are finished and the text indexing preprocessor definition list reflects all of your changes, click OK to save the class.
Results
The text indexing preprocessor definition is created and associated with the document class. When documents of this class with content-based retrieval (CBR) enabled enter the indexing queue, the associated preprocessor action executes before the document content is indexed by Elasticsearch or Content Search Services.
