Upgrading your client application
You might need to upgrade your client application to communicate with your upgraded IBM® Content Cortex system.
About this task
IBM Content Navigator is the preferred client application that you can use to manage content that is stored on IBM Content Cortex.
IBM Content Navigator is the functional replacement for legacy client applications that have been removed from IBM Content Cortex. You can develop a custom IBM Content Navigator application to replace the functionality of legacy applications that you were using.
If you have features that require Process Task Manager, you must install Process Task Manager:
- Workflow components that use the legacy IBM Content Cortex: You can implement these components to use the component manager framework that runs on Content Platform Engine.
- Custom applications that were developed by using the IBM FileNet® Web Application Toolkit: You must develop a custom IBM Content Navigator application to replace the legacy applications that you were using.
