Deploying to Production

About this task

To deploy your Process application from your development system to a production site, use the following procedure.

This procedure is specific to Process applications and assumes that you previously completed other steps for deploying applications to production, such as the following ones:
  • Configuring users and groups in your LDAP directory service
  • Importing object definitions
  • Setting security on object definitions
  • Importing classes and metadata into the object store

For information on workflow configuration and isolated region properties, importing the workflow definitions, and updating workflow subscription properties, see Workflow system assets and Import options.

Note:

Using the IBM® FileNet® Deployment Manager, the queues, rosters and event logs need to be exported and imported in the new system. All queues, rosters, and event logs used by the workflow need to be imported before importing the workflow definition.

Note:

To import subscription and workflow definition document to production, select the Transfer workflows after import option then IBM FileNet Deployment Manager automatically updates the workflow definitions.

Workflow Definition and Event Subscription must be in the FDM import package. The Transfer workflows after import option must be selected at the same time to update the workflow definition, transfers the definition and update the subscription.
