Installing IBM Content Collector apps

The Content Collector apps is part of the Microsoft SharePoint Online that is introduced with Content Collector 4.0.1 fix pack 11 (4.0.1.11). You need to run the IBM Content Collector app installer on a SharePoint Online tenant. The installer installs two apps: IBM Content Collector app and IBM Content Collector Restore app.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, refer to the Prerequisites for installing the Microsoft SharePoint Online component.

Installing or adding

You need to install the IBM Content Collector apps only on the first node, and you can choose any of the following modes: Upgrading
  1. Run the \SharepointOnline\ICC_App_For_Sharepoint\install.exe file.
  2. Select the Upgrade option from the wizard.
  3. Complete the steps in the wizard.
Note: Ensure you stop all the task routes running for the site before performing this action. This removes the previous version of the apps from sites and installs the new version of the apps.

Removing

  1. Run the \SharepointOnline\ICC_App_For_Sharepoint\install.exe file.
  2. Select the Remove option from the wizard.
  3. Complete the wizard following the next actions.
Note: Ensure that you stop all the task routes running for the site before performing this action. This only removes the apps from sites. The added columns and content types will remain.
