Enabling TLS connections in Lotus Domino

Enable Transport Layer Security (TLS)/Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted connections to ensure secure connections between Lotus Domino and the SMTP Receiver supports.

Procedure

To configure Lotus Domino to use TLS connections:

  1. In the Domino Administrator Client, navigate to Configuration > Server > Configurations.
  2. Open the configuration document for the server that you want to configure.
  3. Select Router/SMTP > Advanced > Commands and Extensions.
  4. Under SSL negotiated over TCP/IP port, select Required.
  5. Navigate to Configuration > Server > Current Server Document.
  6. Select Ports > Internet Ports > Mail.
  7. Under SSL port number for Mail (SMTP Outbound), specify the port 465.
  8. Under SSL port status for Mail (SMTP Outbound), select Enabled.
