Specifying the prompt template by using the API

You can set the prompt template from a custom application by using an API call.

About this task

You can have a custom application that uses the Content Engine API to obtain generative AI responses based on document content, or to summarize documents. The application may pass custom prompt templates as a part of the API call. If a prompt template is provided by using the API, then the prompt template value overrides all the default values.
