Preparing your system to use IBM Content Assistant
Before you install IBM® Content Assistant, make sure that you fulfill the following prerequisites and requirements.
Prerequisites
- IBM
FileNet® Content Manager
To understand the Content Platform Engine versions that the IBM Content Assistant supports, refer to the IBM Software Product Compatibility Matrix.
- IBM Content Navigator
To understand the Content Navigator versions that the IBM Content Assistant supports, refer to the IBM Software Product Compatibility Matrix.
- Supported deployment types
IBM Content Assistant supports the following deployment types:
- FNCM traditional WebSphere® Application Server environments that use TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 only. Make sure that you update WebSphere Application Server to the supported TLS versions and that you use IBM JRE 8.0.6.25 or higher. For more information, see the technote Configure IBM FileNet Content Manager to use the TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 protocol for secure communications.
- OpenShift Container Platform environments, or,
- Stand-alone Docker environments.
Networking requirements
IBM Content Assistant must be able to connect with the SaaS-based IBM Content Assistant and IBM watsonx Assistant services.
