Enabling the Content Assistant plug-in

As an administrator, you need to first enable the Content Assistant plug-in on Content Navigator. You can then configure a Content Navigator desktop to use the Content Assistant plug-in.

Enabling the Content Assistant plug-in on Content Navigator

As an administrator, you can enable the Content Assistant plug-in on Content Navigator.

Procedure

  1. Log in to IBM® Content Navigator as an administrator and go to the administration console.
    Note: Use only HTTPS connection to access the IBM Content Navigator when the Content Assistant plugin is installed.
  2. On the IBM Content Navigator directory, select Plug-ins.
  3. Select the IBM Content Assistant plug-in from the list, and click Enable.

Enabling the Content Assistant for a Content Navigator desktop

You can configure a Content Navigator desktop to use the Content Assistant plug-in.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enable Content Assistant for a Content Navigator desktop:

  1. Log in to IBM Content Navigator as an administrator and go to the administration console.
  2. On the IBM Content Navigator directory, select Desktops.
  3. Select a Content Navigator Desktop environment.
    You can select a Content Navigator desktop for which you want to enable the Content Assistant.
  4. On the General page, configure the desktop to use the Content Assistant plug-in.
    1. In the Plug-ins section, choose the Select the deployed plug-ins to enable for use with this desktop option.
    2. Select the IBM Content Assistant plug-in.
  5. Click Save and Close.
