You need to download and extract the IBM® Content Assistant package to set up the
Content Assistant for an
object store in your FileNet Content Manager environment.

Use the IBM Content Assistant
Dashboard to download and extract the contents of the IBM Content Assistant package.
Procedure
- Log in to the IBM SaaS Console.
- Access the Content Assistant subscription
and click View subscription details.
You can view the subscription
details like the subscription owner, the subscription plan, and related information.
- Click the Instances tab to view the Content Assistant instances for
your subscription.
- Click Open to access the IBM Content Assistant
Dashboard for your
Content Assistant
instance.
The IBM Content Assistant
Dashboard contains
the IBM Content Assistant package
and the access code for your Content Assistant instance. The
information is needed to register each object store in your FileNet Content Manager domain with the
Content Assistant
instance.
- From the dashboard, download the IBM Content Assistant package for your
instance.
The IBM Content Assistant package has the format fncm-genai-version-n-YYYYMMDDTTTT.zip.
- Extract the contents of the fncm-genai-version-n-YYYYMMDDTTTT.zip
file.
The extracted folder contains the following files:
- genai-ce.jar - This is the Content Assistant jar file that needs to be
included into the CPE server class path based on your deployment type.
- genaiPlugin.jar - This is the plug-in jar file that is required to install
the Content Assistant plug-in on
Content Navigator.
- GenAIAddOn.xml - Add-on descriptor file for the Content Assistant add-on for CPE.
- GenAIExtensions.xml - Import data set associated with the Content Assistant add-on for CPE.
- GenAIPostImportScript.js - Post-import script file associated with the
Content Assistant add-on for
CPE.
- PersistentExtractsAddOn.xml - Add-on descriptor file for the Persistent
Text Extraction add-on for CPE.
- TextExtractExtensions.xml - The import dataset associated with the
Persistent Text Extraction add-on for CPE.
