Preparing IBM Connect:Direct for Secure Plus Operations
About this task
After you set up the Connect:Direct® Secure Plus environment, you must prepare IBM Connect:Direct to use IBM Connect:Direct Secure Plus.
To set up IBM Connect:Direct to run with IBM Connect:Direct Secure Plus:
Procedure
- Add the following parameter to the IBM Connect:Direct for z/OS® initialization parameters: SECURE.DSN=filename, where filename is the name of the IBM Connect:Direct Secure Plus parameter file for that node.
- If you are operating in a CD/Plex environment or if you did not specify the entire path to the Certificate Path Name on the Local record, add the SECURE.SSL.Path.Prefix=prefix parameter, where prefix is the prefix location of the key database or key ring that contains the certificates for the TLS or SSL protocol.
- Restart IBM Connect:Direct on that node.
- To verify that IBM Connect:Direct Secure Plus for z/OS initialization is complete, after you restart IBM Connect:Direct with SECURE.DSN, review the started task output for the following messages: SITA028I Secure+ initialization and SITA165I Secure+ initialization complete, if you are using the TLS or SSL protocol.
