Writing IBM Connect:Direct commands

A IBM® Connect:Direct® command is a string of characters that conveys your requests to the IBM Connect:Direct Data Transmission Facility (DTF) for execution. You write these commands by using a unique syntax called the IBM Connect:Direct native format.

If you are using the batch interface, operator interface, or your own user-written application, you write the commands in this native format. If you are using the IUI, IBM Connect:Direct builds the commands in the format for you.
