Diagnostic Tools
You can perform some problem isolation and diagnostics by running traces. A trace is a sequential recording of program events during execution. Trace output is useful only as a diagnostic tool for the Support.
When running traces for Support, consider the following information:
- Limit IBM® Connect:Direct® activity while running traces.
- Trace the simplest case possible.
- Disable traces upon completion. They generate considerable overhead.
- Use traces judiciously. They are for diagnostic purposes only and there is potential security exposure.
