Cloning a parameter file
The SPAdmin tool introduces a new line command, CL
to perform the
cloning process. The CL
line command can be used on the Local record as long as
there are no outstanding unsaved updates to the Secure Parameter file. The CL
line
command can also be used on a Remote record to quickly replicate that record.
The following section provides information on cloning process for different record types.
Alias Record Clone
An Alias Record cannot be cloned and the SPAdmin tool will issue an appropriate error if the CL line command is attempted for a record type of A.
Remote Record Clone
A remote record clone retains the settings from the original record and allows for entry of a new node name. This allows for a quick and easy replication of records.
