Libraries to Install

Ensure that you have the following libraries installed:

UNIX Platform Software Library
Intel and AMD x86/x86-64, Linux zSeries All supported Linux 32 bit C++ library package libstdc++.i386, libstdc++.i586, or libstdc++.i686 .

Note: Depending on the age of your Linux system, only one of those will be available.
Intel and AMD x86/x86-64 Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 6 For Red Hat Enterprise Linux® version 6, the following libraries need to be installed:
  • libXtst-1.0.99.2-3.el6.i686
  • libXmu-1.0.5-1.el6.i686
  • libXt-1.0.7-1.el6.i686
  • libXft-2.1.13-4.1.el6.i686
  • libX11-1.3-2.el6.i686 (32-bit only)
  • libXi-1.3-3.el6.i686
  • libXext-1.1-3.el6.i686
  • libXau-1.0.5-1.el6.i686
  • libXrender-0.9.5-1.el6.i686
Linux zSeries All supported Linux. 31 bit C++ library package libstdc++.s390
IBM® System pSeries AIX IBM C Set ++ Runtime Libraries for AIX version 8 or later

Note: After you install these libraries, rerun the Connect:Direct® for UNIX installation program.
Solaris 11, SPARC   librpcsoc.so.1
Note: This library can be acquired by installing the compatibility/ucb package.
Note: The compatibility/ucb package is no longer available starting with 11.4. Upgrade to Connect:Direct 6.0.0 to access Connect:Direct UNIX on Solaris 11.4.
HP Integrity system with Intel Itanium processor HP-UX version 11iv3 or higher
  • Password Hash Infrastructure (PHI) package, beginning with C:D UNIX 5.3.0.1.iFix093
Note: To check for package installation status:
  • 11iv3 (B.11.31): swlist -a state SHA11i3
  • 11iv2 (B.11.23): swlist -a state SHA
Note: You can download and install the package as needed:
