Use the information in this section to prepare your installation environment and run the installation.

Note: The installation packages that you download from the Passport Advantage® website might reference installers for less popular legacy operating systems. For more information about the list of supported operating systems, refer to the IBM Support Portal.

The installation packages are provided to help customers who are transitioning to supported platforms. Please contact IBM technical support for information about installers that are not on the list of officially supported systems.

After completing the previously described planning tasks and installing prerequisites such as database and application tier software, the installation process going forward consists of the tasks that are described in brief here. Each task is covered in more detail in subsequent sections.
