- Install certified containers in an air gap environment
- You can install certified containers in an air gap environment where your OpenShift® Container Platform or Kubernetes cluster does not have access to the internet. For more information, see Installing certified containers in an airgap environment.
- Enhanced security

- Implemented enhanced security for configuration properties.
- Certified container images are now signed and certified for enhanced security.

The Helm Form is now available in the Developer Catalog of the web console of the OpenShift Container Platform version 4.6. You can now easily configure the properties in the YAML files by using the Helm Form.

You can now view the high level information about your OpenShift Container Platform clusters from the OpenShift Container Platform web console.
- Support to configure the time-zone of the application environment

You can now configure the time-zone of the environment in which the applications are run. You can set the value of the global.timeZone property in the Helm chart to the appropriate time-zone. For example, the value of the property can be America/Chicago. For more information about the supported values of time-zone, see Time-zone IDs.
- Support to run custom scripts after the IBM Sterling Configurator server starts

You can now run your custom scripts after the Sterling Configurator starts, by running the ocpostappready.sh file that is available in the /charts/ibm-cpq-prod/scripts folder.
- Support to disable the deployment of IBM Sterling Configurator user interface

You now have the choice to disable the deployment of the Sterling Configurator UI in your environments based on your business requirements. You can set the value of the deployConfiguratorUI property as false to disable the deployment.

- Support to run Visual Modeler database migration scripts

The Visual Modeler data setup job is enhanced to run the database migration scripts when you migrate to a new fix pack. You must set the following properties in the values.yaml file for the migration scripts to run.
- vmdatasetup.migrateDB.enabled
- vmdatasetup.migrateDB.fromFPVersion
- vmdatasetup.migrateDB.toFPVersion
- Support to turn off the Swagger UI and the API documentation

You can now turn off the Swagger UI and the API documentation by using the IBM Sterling Configurator deployment chart. By default, the Swagger UI and the API documentation is turned on. You can set the ocappserver.swagger.enabled property to false to turn them off.
- Pod logs available outside the pods

The pod logs are now available outside the pods to simplify the process of checking logs. You can now check the logs in the repository without navigating in the pods.
- Support to run pods with arbitrary user IDs

The pods that are deployed on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, now run by using the IDs that are provided by OpenShift cluster.

You can now install the latest fix packs of IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
You can upgrade to the latest IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote fix pack even if there is no release for IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

- Performance improvement
- The in-memory EhCache is implemented in OmniConfigurator for improved performance. The EhCache works in a distributed mode and
uses the Remote Method Invocation replication to support multiple Pods.

- Customization for the Visual Modeler is enhanced to copy some of the Visual Modeler artifacts from the repository to the pod environment.

- The application is enhanced to populate default value for the function handler and custom
control properties.

- Sterling Configure, Price, Quote on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.4
- Sterling Configure, Price, Quote is now supported on
the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.4. You can now deploy the Sterling Configure, Price, Quote application by using the
Helm Catalog feature of OpenShift 4.4. The Helm Catalog feature simplifies the deployment of
applications by enabling a single click deployment process in the Developer Catalog of the Web
Console.
