This document also provides detailed instructions on how to search for the image by its part number, download, and assemble the IBM® Sterling Configure, Price, Quote components.
IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote requires a tiered environment by using a combination of the application server, web server, and database server software. Install IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote in a test environment, configure as needed for your business, and deploy it in a production environment. IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote includes several solutions. Therefore, plan the installation by considering your deployment and security architecture, performance needs, and any requirements for high availability.
IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote includes the prerequisite and base software. Based on your
licensing agreement, you can order additional components separately.

IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote eAssemblies
IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote comprises of multiple offerings such as Professional and Enterprise. Each edition of IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote is an offering. Each offering is logically divided into subpackages called electronic assemblies, or eAssemblies.
An eAssembly is a group of software that is devoted to a particular platform or environment. Each eAssembly contains the individual product images for that environment, called parts. Which parts you need depends on your usage and configuration choices.
Downloading and assembling the product
- Use your IBM id to access the Passport Advantage.
- Log in and find downloads and media that you purchased.
- From the Download finder options, select the Find by part number search option.
- Search for the image by its part number, and download the required parts.
- Unpack each part to a single temporary directory on your local machine.
- Install the IBM Sterling Configure, Price, Quote software.
