Modify price type details

A pricing organization user can modify the details pertaining to a price type. For example, a pricing organization user can modify the description of a price type, recurring type of the price type, and associate items or categories to the price type.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Price Type Search screen. To navigate to the Price Type Search screen, perform the following steps:
    1. Log in to Business Center as a Pricing Administrator.
    2. The application home page is displayed. Click the Pricing tab.
    3. From the Pricing home page, click Find Price Type in the Pricing dashlet. The Price Type Search screen is displayed.
  2. In the Price Type Search screen, enter the search criteria, and then click Search to perform a search.
  3. The price types matching the search criteria are displayed. Click the Price Type ID hyperlink or double-click the row corresponding to the price type. The Price Type Details screen is displayed.
    Note: If there is only one price type matching the search criteria, the details of the corresponding price type are automatically displayed.
  4. Modify the appropriate fields.

    As a pricing organization user, you can modify the following fields:

    • Description*: Modify the description of the price type, as appropriate.
    • Price type is for informational use only: Select this check box if the pricing type is created only for informational use.
    • From the Recurring Type* drop-down list, select the recurring type to be used for the price type.
    • In the Items panel, you can perform the following:
      1. Click Add to add items to the items list.
      2. The Item Search dialog box is displayed. Search for the item with the basic search or the advanced search option.
      3. Click Save.
      To remove an item, select the item that you want to remove and click Remove. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Yes to remove the selected item.

      If you add more than 15 items to the Items list, an Enlarge link is displayed. Use the Enlarge link to get an expanded view of the list of items. The list of items is displayed in a new window.

    • In the Categories panel, you can perform the following:
      1. Click Add Category.
      2. Click the Search icon to search for the category. The Category dialog box is displayed.
      3. Select the category or the subcategories and click Select.

      To remove a category from the criteria, click the Remove icon corresponding to the category you want to remove. A confirmation message is displayed. Click Yes to remove the selected category.

    Note: If the current organization is not a pricing organization, then the Price Type Details screen would be displayed in a read-only view.
