Replacing an external connection

To change a connection associated with a data ingestion job or automation rule, you must delete the previous connection, create a new one, and update the job or rule configuration settings.

Note: If you delete a connection with an external system, any data ingestion jobs or automation rules using that connection will continue to run, but data transfer will not be successful until a new, valid connection is established and replaced in the automation rule or data ingestion job configuration details.

Step 1: Create the replacement connection

Follow the instructions in Creating a connection with an external tool or service to configure and validate the external connection you will use to replace the existing one.

Step 2: Edit the automation rule or data ingestion job

  1. Click Administration > Integrations.
  2. Click Ingestion jobs or Automation rules.
  3. Next to the job or rule you want to edit, click the overflow menu icon and select Edit.
  4. Edit the connection details to use the connection you just established.
  5. Click Save.

Step 3: Delete the old connection (optional)

If the original connection is no longer valid or it is not being used by another ingestion job or automation rule, follow the instructions to remove the credentials from your Concert instance.

  1. On the Integrations page, click Connections.
  2. Click the overflow icon next to the connection you want to delete, and select Delete.
  3. Click Delete to confirm the change.
