Preparing your EKS Cluster for IBM Concert

Complete the following tasks to prepare your EKS cluster before installing Concert software.

Who needs to complete this task?

Cluster administrator A EKS cluster administrator must complete the appropriate tasks to prepare installing Concert.

When to complete this task?
One-time setup You must have at least one client workstation. You can repeat the tasks in this section as many times as needed to set up multiple client workstations.

Procedure

Complete the following tasks appropriate for your environment.

  • If you do not have an existing cluster, install EKS cluster. For more details, refer to set up EKS.
  • You need to do any one of the following action for Persistent Storage Class:
    • Concert requires the creation of two S3 Minio buckets and two PostgreSQL EDB instances. Concert is capable of facilitating this setup during the deployment process. It is mandatory to specify a storage class for these resources. For more details, refer to EKS storage.

      Or

    • You can bring your own repository. Refer to bring your own repository.
    Note: You have an option to use two PostgreSQL EDB and bring your own S3 Minio buckets as the storage class. If you use this option, then you have to do the above to tasks for the storage class setup.
