View historical activity in your Concert instance to monitor system events, track data ingestion, and troubleshoot issues.

About this task

The Event log page provides a comprehensive history of all activities in your system, including vulnerability events, compliance assessments, certificate monitoring, and data ingestion events. Use the Event log to:

  • Monitor recent system activity.
  • Track data ingestion success or failures.
  • Identify patterns in vulnerability or software composition events.
  • Troubleshoot issues by reviewing event details.

Procedure

  1. From the main Concert navigation, click Administration > Event log.
    The Event log page displays with summary tiles at the top showing event counts by category.
  2. Review the summary tiles to understand your event distribution:
    • Total events: All recorded events
    • Vulnerability events: Vulnerability scan activities.
    • Software composition events: packages and SBOMs related activities.
    • Events with processing errors: Monitor failed activities.
    • Other events: All other events including compliance, certificates, export events and system jobs.
    The Events Trend bar chart shows activity patterns over your selected time range.
  3. To filter events by category, click any summary tile.
    The event table below and Events Trend bar graph updates to show only events matching your selected category.
  4. Enhanced event filter options.
    You can use enhanced filter options available to filter events based on Applications, Event types, Event status and Event duration. You can choose one or more filters which will display all or available under selected filters.
  5. To adjust the time range, select from the date range options:
    • Last 24 hours
    • Last 7 days
    • Last 14 days
    • Last 30 days
    The summary tiles and event table refresh to show data for your selected period.
  6. To search for specific events, use the search field to filter by Event ID or File name.
    The table displays only matching events.
  7. To view detailed information about an event, click the event id under Event ID row.
    You can see an Overview tab and Subordinate events tab:
    • Under Overview tab you can see the status of the event, corresponding job id, event start and finish dates. You can click on Job id and expand to view details of the event.
    • Under Subordinate events you can see any system events that impact on your current event.
    Note: Vulnerability score re-computation tasks appear as Jobs under the Event type column.
