Remediation for failed controls

With Concert you can accelerate non-compliance fixes and support real-time risk reduction with watsonx powered control-level and posture-level remediation.

Control-level remediation

Concert's remediation feature helps quickly deal with failed controls that are found during compliance scans. To see remediation steps for failed compliance controls, perform the following tasks:

  1. Navigate to Dimensions > Compliance.
  2. Go to the Postures subnavigation and click the posture name of your choice.
  3. Choose the Recommended action subnavigation to see a list of controls in the posture.

Under the Action plan you can see watsonx powered remediation steps with either Generate action plan or View last generated plan against Non-compliant controls. Using option Generate action plan you can generate a new action plan, which gives a list of remediation steps and rollback steps (if applicable). If you are not satisfied with the remediation steps, you can regenerate them using Regenerate plan. The remediation plan that is once generated is stored and you can later view them by clicking View last generated plan.

You can also Copy or Download the remediation steps for reference or evaluation from the AI-generated action plan window. Concert also generates an AI confidence score, which is to be considered before carrying out any suggested remediation steps. screenshot of AI-generated action plan side window from Compliance postures.
Note: Concert supports only manual remediation for now and the suggested remediation steps are to be performed manually.

Posture level remediation

Posture-level remediation provides a consolidated view, enabling you to assess overall compliance gaps and apply broad corrective actions.

  1. Navigate to Dimensions > Compliance.
  2. Go to the Postures subnavigation and click the posture name of your choice.
  3. Choose the Recommended action subnavigation and click View entire action plan.

Under the entire action plan you can see all controls that are grouped by area. You can view watsonx powered remediation steps, rollback steps (if applicable) along with an AI confidence score. There options to Download entire action plan, Download this plan, Copy steps, Regenerate steps.
