Remote workers

To run workflows remotely from within your Concert Workflows instance, you can use a remote worker.

Usually, workflows are run on the same host where Concert Workflows runs. However, you might want to run some workflows on a remote host. In this case, you can install a remote worker on that host.

To use a remote worker with your Concert Workflows instance, you first create a worker group in the Concert Workflows UI.

Then, when you install the remote worker, you provide the following information so that the worker can communicate with, and be used by, your Concert Workflows instance:
  • The name of the host where Concert Workflows runs.
  • The name and secret of the Concert Workflows worker group that you created.

After the remote worker is installed, you can run workflows on the remote host from within your Concert Workflows UI. In the workflow editor, you click the Start block, select the new worker group that you created, and run the workflow.
