Generating a resilience action plan

Generate AI-powered resilience action plans from posture assessment results to remediate gaps and improve the application’s resilience score. Each plan provides step-by-step guidance for addressing risks and strengthening resilience posture.

Resilience action plans provide additional guidance for resolving resilience actions that are generated during assessments. Concert uses watsonx.ai to analyze the affected resilience requirement and generate recommendations, implementation steps, and risk considerations that can help you address identified resilience gaps.

Note: For action plans that are generated from custom resilience libraries, the quality and accuracy of generated recommendations depend on the requirement descriptions, metric descriptions, thresholds, and other configuration details defined in the library. If generated recommendations do not meet expectations, review and refine the custom library configuration.

Before you begin

To generate AI-assisted actions and recommendations for the Resilience dimension in the Actions center, ensure that:
  • watsonx.ai API keys are enabled in your Concert installation (WATSONX_API_KEY and WATSONX_API_PROJECT_ID).
Attention: The Generate action plan feature may intermittently fail due to backend processing issues with watsonx.ai. To continue, rerun the action plan generation process.
Draft comment:
Hey @Raghavendra can you please let me know what other Pre-reqs do we have to add in this section
Note: AI-generated resilience action plans are generated from assessment results and recommendations that are available at the time of analysis. Review all generated content before implementing changes in your environment.

Generating a resilience action plan

Resilience action plans can be generated for resilience actions that are identified during resilience assessments.

To generate a resilience action plan:
  • Go to any Resilience action in the assessment report view.
  • Locate the resilience action that you want to investigate and click View details.
  • From the action details page, click the Generate action plan.
Concert uses watsonx.ai to analyze the scoring gap and generate an action plan that is aligned to the impacted requirement.

Depending on the resilience action, the generated action plan can include the following information:
  • Impacted requirement name : The resilience requirement associated with the action.
  • Plan generated on: The date and time when the action plan was generated.
  • Confidence score: The confidence level associated with the generated recommendations.
  • Importance: Information about the significance of the identified resilience issue.
  • Remediation: Recommended implementation steps, commands, and guidance for addressing the identified issue.
  • Risks: Potential operational or resilience risks associated with the finding.
You can also copy or download the generated action plan for future reference.

While all actions are accessible in the global Actions center, the assessment view provides a focused context for reviewing and resolving posture issues related to the specific application deployment.

Viewing and regenerating a resilience action plan

After a resilience action plan is generated, you can reopen the most recently generated plan by clicking View last generated plan.

As assessment results, application configurations, or resilience conditions change, you can generate an updated plan based on the latest assessment context. To regenerate a resilience action plan:
  1. Open an existing action plan.
  2. Click Regenerate plan with watsonx.
Concert reevaluates the latest assessment data and generates updated recommendations, remediation guidance, and implementation steps for the affected resilience requirement.

What to do next

Resilience action plans help you understand and remediate resilience issues that are identified during assessments. After implementing the recommended changes, rerun the resilience assessment to validate the remediation, evaluate the updated resilience posture, and review any remaining resilience risks.
