Release notes
IBM Concert platform release notes announce new features and enhancements, and document special instructions for each release.
Concert platform 3.0.0
IBM Concert platform 3.0.0 marks the inaugural release of an agentic IT Ops platform that creates a unified operational layer across hybrid environments. This release introduces the core platform capabilities that connect signals, generate shared context, and coordinate action across teams and tools.
This release supports self-hosted deployments only. SaaS support will be available in a future release.
- Platform capabilities
-
- Concert Home
-
Concert Home provides a unified operational control plane with role-based default views (Application owner, Executive, Operations) and AI-powered custom dashboard creation. You can use the Concert assistant to generate personalized views through natural language queries, creating dashboards tailored to specific roles, infrastructure components, or operational needs.
- Concert Observe
-
Concert Observe delivers full-stack observability across applications, infrastructure, and networks. Powered by Instana for Core Observability, Concert Observe provides application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, database monitoring, and AI/LLM workload observability with automatic discovery and real-time insights.
- Concert Optimize
-
Concert Optimize, powered by Turbonomic, provides AI-driven infrastructure optimization and resource management. Concert Optimize continuously analyzes application demand and infrastructure supply to recommend and execute actions that ensure performance while optimizing resource utilization and costs across hybrid cloud environments.
- Concert Protect
-
Concert Protect delivers application security and vulnerability management. Concert Protect identifies security risks, tracks CVE exposures, monitors certificate lifecycles, and provides remediation guidance to reduce security exposure across the application portfolio.
- Concert Resilience
-
Concert Resilience provides operational resilience scoring and lifecycle management across the Code, Observe, Ship, and Respond stages. Concert Resilience tracks SLO compliance, error budgets, and resilience posture to help teams maintain service reliability and respond effectively to incidents.
- Platform AI
-
The Concert assistant orchestrates specialized AI coordinators across platform capabilities to answer questions, correlate data, explain insights, guide decisions, and execute actions with human-in-the-loop approval. The assistant maintains conversation context across multi-turn interactions and generates execution plans that show task dependencies and parallel execution groups before it takes action.
You can create custom dashboard views through natural language prompts. The assistant generates visualizations that combine data from multiple capabilities. The platform supports cross-capability workflows including incident investigation, GPU efficiency optimization, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Installation and deployment
-
Concert platform 3.0.0 supports self-hosted deployment on k3s and Red Hat OpenShift. The installation includes the platform hub, data access layer (ITOM and TurboLite), and capability packages (Concert Observe, Concert Optimize, Concert Protect, Concert Resilience). You configure AI capabilities to enable the Concert assistant and specialized coordinators through watsonx.ai integration.
