Button custom widget

The Concert Operate Button custom widget allows you to create a button with an associated alert filter. Customize the button properties to your requirements and set the desired target. The button can update an alert list in your existing dashboard, or launch an alert list in a new browser tab.

Procedure

Skip steps 1 - 4 if you have already completed them for another widget.

  1. Download the IBM Concert Operate widgets and other artifacts that are needed from: github.com: aiops-cognos-analytics/widgets.

  2. Create a zipped file out of the entire widgets folder.

    On macOS: right-click the widgets folder and select Compress "widgets".

    On Windows: right-click the widgets folder and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.

  3. Log in to IBM Cognos Analytics. The base URL is https://<CLUSTER_NAME>/cognosanalytics/aiops/bi/?perspective=home.

  4. From the main navigation menu, click Manage > Customization > Extension.

    Click the Upload extension icon Upload extension icon and navigate to your compressed file.

    The Concert Operate Button custom widget is now available to use in new dashboards.

  5. From the main navigation menu, click New > Dashboard > Create.

  6. Click Custom widgets Custom widgets.

  7. Select the AIOps Button and drag it onto the canvas.

  8. Click Properties to configure the Concert Operate Button in the properties side panel:

    • Filter: Select from the list of filters to associate a filter to the button.

    • Shape: Choose between Rectangular or Round for the button shape.

    • Button label: Select from Filter name, Alert count, or Both for the button label.

    • Target: The action to be taken when the button is clicked. It can update the alert list in your existing dashboard, or launch an alert list in a new browser tab.

    • Refresh interval: Auto-refresh interval in seconds.
