Managing multiple alerts

You can multi-select alerts and apply actions to all of your selections at one time.

Procedure

  1. To multi-select alerts that are not next to each other in the Alert Viewer, press and hold down the Ctrl key (Command key on Mac) and click the alerts that you want to select.

  2. If you want to multi-select alerts that are next to each other in the table, you don't have to click each alert. First, press and hold down the Shift key. Then, click on the top alert and bottom alert in your selection. All the alerts between the first and last are also selected.

  3. Actions for alerts can be accessed through the alert context menu, which is opened by right-clicking an alert. For more details, see Working with alerts and menu customization.

Note: The availability of actions in the alert context menu depends on administrator-defined global settings, user permissions, and enabled feature flags. If the ENABLE_SHARED_ALERT_CONTEXT_MENU feature flag is enabled, all users will see the same menu format (structure and submenus). If the flag is not enabled, each user will see their own personalized menu structure. The ENABLE_SHARED_ALERT_CONTEXT_MENU feature flag is configured by an administrator by using a ConfigMap.
Note: When multiple alerts are selected, an action is available only if the user is authorized to run that action on all selected alerts.
