Configuring the Db2 database

You can configure IBM® Db2® during the License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool setup.

Before you begin

Remember: For production and enterprise support, use the Db2 Workgroup Server Edition V11.1. Limited support is available for Db2 Express-C and can be reserved for production and enterprise deployments only when the Workgroup Server Edition is not available. For more details, contact IBMDB2® Website.

From IBM Common Licensing version 9.0.0.1 onward, DB2 version 11.5 is supported.

From IBM Common Licensing version 9.0.0.2 onward, DB2 version 12.1.1 is supported.

Install Db2 database on a machine, which you can access from the network. If you want to use an existing Db2 server, you can skip installing a fresh copy of Db2 database.

For installing the Db2 database, see Installing Db2 silently for License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool on Windows and Installing Db2 silently for License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool on UNIX

After you install the IBM Db2 and the License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool V9.0, you must create the artdata database. This database contains your license information.

Tip: Verify that the database server is running.
Attention: You must log in as "rcladmin" user. For more information about user credentials, see User Management.
