You can configure IBM® Db2® during
the License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool setup.
Before you begin
Remember: For production and enterprise support, use the
Db2 Workgroup
Server Edition V11.1. Limited support is available for
Db2 Express-C
and can be reserved for production and enterprise deployments only when the Workgroup Server Edition
is not available. For more details, contact
IBMDB2® Website.
From IBM
Common Licensing version 9.0.0.1 onward, DB2 version 11.5 is supported.
From IBM Common
Licensing version 9.0.0.2 onward, DB2 version 12.1.1 is supported.
Install Db2 database
on a machine, which you can access from the network. If you want to use an existing Db2 server,
you can skip installing a fresh copy of Db2

Tool on UNIX
After you install the IBM Db2 and the License Key Server Administration and
Reporting Tool V9.0, you must create the artdata database. This database contains
your license information.
Tip: Verify that the database server is running.
Attention: You must log in as "rcladmin" user. For more information about user
credentials, see
User Management.
About this task
The License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool V9.0 uses a relational
database Db2 to query
and store license usage data. License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool
requires database connection details before you use the database. You can provide these details in
the database setup process that consists the following two tasks:

Tool web
application, go to the .
You can see the default host URL to start the License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool. For example,
[AUDIT ] CWWKT0016I: Web application available (default_host): http://in-ibmibm3080.persistent.co.in:4380/rcladmin/
When you start the
License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool for the
first time, the Database Setup Welcome page opens.
Procedure

On the Database Setup Welcome page, click Next.

On the Database Configuration page, enter the Host name, Port
number, User ID, and Password.

Click Test Connection to check whether the database connection is
established successfully.
Connection problems might be due to any of these conditions:
- One or more parameters are incorrect.
- The specified host machine is unreachable.
- The database server is not running.
- The database does not have License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool
schema.
- Any unknown error.

Click Save to save the configuration details.
You can save the configuration only after the database connection is established successfully.
Save problems might be due to any of these conditions:
- License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool server is not running.
- License Key Server Administration and Reporting
Tool server host machine is
unreachable.
- Any unknown error.
