Follow these steps to upgrade License Key Server Administration Agent to version 9.0.
About this task
Log in as a user with administrator rights on the local computer where you plan to upgrade the
agent.
Procedure

Install the Installation Manager 1.9.1.3
for installing License Key Server Administration Agent 9.0.
If you are using an earlier version of
Installation Manager, upgrade
to version 1.9.1.3:

Download the
IBM_LKS_Administration_Agent_90.zip media files from the Fix
Central.

Extract the files to a directory, such as ../agent-installer/90/.

Launch Installation Manager, and then add the extracted
media location to IBM Installation Manager
Preferences.

In Installation Manager, click .

Add ../agent-installer/90/LKS_ADMIN_AGENT/disk1/disk1.tag as a
repository.

Click Apply and OK.

Click Update.

Select the IBM License Key Server Administration Agent package to be
updated, and then click Next.

Click , and then click Next.

Accept the license agreement, and then click Next.

Review the features to install, and then click Update. A summary list of
updated packages displays.

Click Finish. A summary list of updated packages displays.
You can start the application manually as a Windows or
UNIX service. See Starting License Key Server Administration and Reporting Tool on system startup.
Attention: If the agent is already configured with the reporting tool, when you upgrade,
the reporting tool shows the reporting status as Not Running. When you select
Start reporting for the first time, the log file conversion process begins.
Depending on the size of your server log file, it can take time for the initial conversion of the
data. The system must convert the data in the entire log to the required format.
