Configurable data brushing in more data containers

You can apply advanced interactive brushing to data items of your interest across data containers of more types in reports .
In comparison to the interactive brushing in IBM® Cognos® Analytics 12.1.0, this configurable data brushing gives you the following advances:
  • You can fully control data brushing behaviors and inter-data-container connections.
  • You can apply the interactive brushing in 11.1 visualizations and data tables.
    Restriction: Data tables only apply row level highlighting and do not support cell level primary and secondary styles.
  • You can combine highlighting with filtering for some data containers .

The following images show examples of configurable data brushing in two data containers. First image shows an example of highlighting the Retailer country and Product line data columns in both data containers. Second image shows an example of the same highlighting that is combined with filtering by the Region data column in the 11.1 visualization stacked bar.
