Creating and editing reports through natural-language requests

You can now create and edit report elements in IBM® Cognos® Analytics by describing changes in a plain language.

Instead of going through menus and toolbars, you can modify IBM Cognos Analytics report elements by typing in conversational commands. For example, you can ask to "Create a bar chart with revenue and product" or "Add a drop-down region prompt" and the system builds it for you.

This feature is available through a chat interface in Report Studio. The system interprets your instructions, matches field names from the selected data source, and creates report elements that you describe. You can build charts, lists, crosstabs, prompts, and other report components without memorizing technical terms or learning the Report Studio interface.
