Installing Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime for Framework Manager

Microsoft Edge WebView2 is enabled by default in 12.1.0. WebView2 Runtime is required by Framework Manager.

Note: WebView2 Runtime may already be installed on your computer. For more information, see Detect if a WebView2 Runtime is already installed (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/concepts/distribution?tabs=dotnetcsharp#detect-if-a-webview2-runtime-is-already-installed).

If you do not have WebView2 Runtime installed and you try to run Framework Manager, the following message appears:

Could not find Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime installation.
Please refer to Microsoft online documentation on how to manually install WebView2 Runtime.
If WebView2 Runtime is not yet installed, follow these steps:
  1. Download and install Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/).
  2. Restart Framework Manager, if it is open.
