Logging

You can see what communication takes place between CMTools and Content Manager.

CMTools supports logging of requests and responses to file.

This can be useful when you want to see exactly what communication is taking place between CMTools and Content Manager. It can also be useful for troubleshooting problems.

To enable request/response logging:
  1. Navigate to Window > Preferences...
  2. Select the CM node on the tree on the left hand side.
  3. There are two preferences that control CMTools request/response logging:
    • Enable Logging - Enabled logging
    • Log File - The log file to log to

CMTools will only log requests and responses when logging is enabled and the file is valid.
